The list of the 12 boys toys expected to race off the shelves this Christmas was recently released. On it were the usual suspects including Nerf and Star Wars offerings and all toys recommended cost less than £50. Transformers 2 Voyager Figures

Transfomers 2 large scale figures are called the Voyager class. They are 28 cm tall and stunning replicas of the characters from the Revenge Of The Fallen movie. Their conversion from vehicle to robot is detailed and quite complicated. They also feature Mech Alive technology which means you can see their internal gears moving when you push other parts of the figure. They are also armed with missiles so are battle ready. When in robot mode they are well articulated and can achieve many different poses. As an added extra, you can transform the toy from robot mode with a couple of extra twists into a vehicle attack mode. This is not a full third transformation but does offer that little bit more interest for your money.
GX Racers Tightrope Terror
This GX Racers set enables children to perform high flying stunts with their GX car. The four wheeled car is revved up and sent speedily along a tightrope strung between two towers. You can use the set as it comes or set up different tracks between any two places in your room. If you manage to send the car completely across the track, you will be amazed at the stunt but sometimes the car comes off the track right at the end. To avoid such disappointment make sure you use some heavy books to anchor down the towers. If you then start with a shorter track that will help. Double check that your rope is well aligned between the grooves on the towers and is pulled really tight and secured.
HM Armed Forces Tank
HM Armed Forces toys are a new range of military based action figures, vehicles and role play toys. They are trying to take over where Action Man left off and seem to be having lots of success. The Fast Pursuit Army Battle Tank has made it into the prestigious list of hot Christmas toys because it is a well detailed and large scale army replica. It, along with all the other toys in the range, is meticulously detailed and ready for a battle with its firing missile and rotating turret. It has full armour and can handle any terrain with its super tank treads. The driving hatches can even accommodate two of the 25cm action figures sold separately in the range. In addition the tank features equipment boxes to store weapons and accessories.
